ABOUT CHRISTINA

I paint because this is what I love to do. I have been painting since I was a student and my dream was to blossom people’s feelings through my paintings.

CHRISTINA LAPPA is a visual artist and interior designer of Venezuelan origin, based in Greece. She studied interior design and applied arts in Spain and is internationally active in the fields of contemporary art and interior design.

Her works is characterized by bold forms, intense lights, and movement, with the female figure at its core-serving as a symbol of strength, freedom, and emotional intensity. Her large-scale compositions create an immediate and dynamic dialogue with the viewer through powerful visual narratives.
She has presented her art in galleries, art fairs, and museums across Europe, Asia, Middle East, and the United States, receiving important distinctions including the International Prize Velazquez / MEAM Barcelona, International Prize of Nations / Scuola della Misericordia, Venice, International Prize Giuliano Cesare / Velli Palace, Rome, International Prize Leonardo Da Vinci / Borghese Palace, Florence, and Master of Contemporary Art / NTFA, Miami.

Her artworks are included in the permanent collections of the Hellenic Embassy in Washington D.C., and the Consulate General of Greece in New York.
Lappa’s artworks are hosted in the official residence of the U.S. Embassy in Athens, showcasing contemporary Greek art in an international institutional setting. Her works are also part of the official Art in Embassies program, U.S. Department of State, art.state.gov which promotes international cultural dialogue through art.

She is founder and owner of CL Art Galleries in Athens and Halkidiki, where she actively works on connecting contemporary art with the fields of hospitality and design.
