“Figures and Shadows” 2015-2017

The monumentalism of the body is here narrated by Christina Lappa. Bodies that, with their postures, dance on the canvas. Bodies that emerge from the darkness of the psyche and go in search of that light that will save humanity. 

Lappa’s painting is a type of painting very attentive to the themes expressed. A painting able to fascinate the distracted eyes of the spectator. Her figures with their shadows come to occupy the canvas with great linguistic harmony. They are figures projected in silent settings and come out with great force. The background is always of strong color a chose made by the Artist, to give greater strength to the figures represented.
